coming soon..
this is an early beta. report bugs to revin with what you did and the error you saw. keep tokens, passwords and private file contents out of screenshots.
there is no command-name blacklist. permissions and isolation enforce the restrictions: sudo and su cannot grant more privileges, system files cannot be changed, and other users’ homes are unavailable. cd .. cannot move your portal session outside your home.
the web terminal has no network access. commands such as curl, wget, ssh and git clone cannot connect out. npm install and pip install cannot download packages. ask revin for global tools or service changes.
commands run in fish with a 10-second timeout and a 64 kib output limit. this is not an interactive terminal: editors such as nano, password prompts and interactive programs will not work normally. background jobs end with the command session, so do not start a bot or server here. use an approved ssh session for longer work.
each terminal tab remembers its directory, but each submitted command starts a fresh shell. variables and virtual environment activation do not carry over. use .venv/bin/python your_script.py directly, or activate and run in the same command.
pwd shows your directory. id -un shows your account. ls lists files. cd folder opens a folder and cd ~ returns home. du -sh folder shows folder usage. check your disk quota with quota -s over ssh; that command cannot inspect quotas from the web terminal. an empty ls result usually means that folder has no visible files.
hides and void_ultra each have 10 gb disk space, 1 gb ram and one vcpu worth of cpu time. their bots, ssh sessions and website activity share the allowance. the account task limit is 256; website activity has a 128-task cap within that limit. hitting the cpu cap slows work down; hitting the ram cap can terminate processes; a full disk quota prevents further writes.
the explorer starts at your home. dotfiles such as .env, hidden folders, symbolic links and hard-linked files are excluded from the explorer. portal secrets and the website’s own files are protected. ordinary files in your home can be edited or deleted, so check the path before changing anything. restricted accounts can browse and read files, but cannot write, download or run commands.
use tab for path completion, esc to clear the input and ctrl + l to clear terminal output. use ctrl + s in the file editor to save. reloading the page signs you out; three days without activity also ends the session. only approved discord accounts can sign in.
